Many Ugandans are thanking God for a special blessing!  Stephen Kiprotich of Uganda won the GOLD medal in yesterday’s Olympic 2012 men’s marathon – Uganda’s first medal of these games – the second gold medal ever won by a Ugandan.*  The silver and the bronze marathon medals went to runners from Uganda’s neighboring country, Kenya.  Also completing the 2012 Olympic marathon was another Kenyan (17th), two Tanzanians (33rd and 66th) and a runner from Rwanda (79th).  The 47th man** to complete the race was from South Sudan, our world’s newest country!  Praise God today for the joy this race brought to many people in East Africa!
