Yesterday, Hindus began a ten day birthday celebration for Lord Ganesha.  The most elaborate celebrations will take place in South Asia, but Hindus living in sub-Saharan Africa and around our world will also take part in celebrations.  WIKIPEDIA reports that Ganesha, a god of power and wisdom, “grants success, prosperity and protection against adversity… Hindus of all denominations invoke him at the beginning of prayers, important undertakings, and religious ceremonies.” Ways to open doors of communication with Hindu friends and acquaintances and how to share your source of power and wisdom can be found at http://willyoucare.org.
