HOPE and JOY – some would call these two basic human needs. For some, membership in FIFA, the international soccer governing body, may not seem like an opportunity for hope and a source of joy. The people of South Sudan, people who only knew war and poverty for generations, are celebrating their recent acceptance as a FIFA member! As South Sudan celebrates her first year of independence today, praise God for the opportunities for hope and joy that is found in sports, one tool that missionaries use to share our Father’s HOPE and JOY among the Unreached People Groups of South Sudan!
