Emptying an overflowing clothes hamper into her washing machine, a missionary discovered the taps were dry. Much later, she heard gurgling pipes and hit the ON button! Within seconds, the electricity disappeared! So, she ‘ran away from home’ – a meal out might lift her spirits. Then God sent a reality check – this view beside a stream of women hand-washing clothes hauled, possibly for miles, on their heads! As missionaries balance their way of life with that of the people they serve in East Africa, pray they will see and respond through eyes and hearts guided by the Holy Spirit.
*** These women are using not a man-made, but a God made CLOTHES DRYER – bushes!
