Did you know UNICEF* says that the life expectancy of an East African kid this age is 50 to 57 years – compared to the lower 80’s in the USA, Canada, or Great Britain. In East African countries, 50 to 80 of every thousand kids born the year of this little one died before their first birthday? In the USA, the ‘infant mortality rate (under one)’ was 7 out of 1000 babies. And for some countries in our world, including several from other Sub-Saharan African countries, contrasts to industrialized countries are even greater!
