The rains are coming… BUT if there isn't clean water nearby, people get water from wherever they find it, notwithstanding the condition. Would you cook, drink or wash clothes or dishes in this water? However this woman will use this jug of water and another container she filled for a child to carry home for these uses. Clean water is a precious resource…one of the major concerns in Africa. People get cholera and other diseases, many of which can be deadly because of the lack of clean water to drink. STAY TUNED… look tomorrow for a report on a village well project!”
